Welcome to the Secondary School at Dubai International Academy. We are an exceptionally vibrant and busy community with a plethora of learning experiences for students both inside and outside of the classroom.  Committed to a spirit of internationalism and academic excellence, the IB Programmes offer an excellent curriculum experience to meet these aims.

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) builds and strengthens the foundation of learning and skills. It helps students to develop knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to participate actively and responsibly in a changing and increasingly interrelated world.

The IB Post-16 Programmes are highly respected, rigorous and academic. Both the IB Courses pathway and the IB Diploma Programme are offered and aim to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.

The outcomes of our students are excellent and go from strength to strength, ensuring success in entrance to prestigious Higher Education destinations, including Ivy League, Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. This places us firmly amongst the highest achieving schools in the region.

Our Secondary School teachers are a caring, highly-qualified and multicultural team, selected for their ability to make a positive impact on student learning. Learning Support professionals, Counsellors, Heads of Years and Homeroom teachers are an integral part of the team, on hand to assist students with personal or academic issues and to monitor individual welfare and progress.

The school will not rest and aims to continually develop and move forward placing the students and parents at the heart of strategic decisions. The warmth of reception from the school community is unique and students and staff alike embody the IB Learner Profile and exemplify the ethos of an IB World School.
